Fundraising Ideas

If you have any fundraising ideas to help us raise as much money as we can, list them. :)
Bake Sale- simple to put up. We could sell baked goods at the Nest or other places.
Yard Sale- APO held one a few years ago when duPont was cleaned out. Yard sales are really successful early in the morning on Saturdays or Sundays. That's when the "yard sale crowd" as my Mom calls them are out and about. We could advertise off campus and maybe get parents/friends/anyone that needs a garage cleaned out to help donate items.
Rent A Major- If the rugby team doesn't mind us stealing the idea, its a great one. There are probably a lot of people around that need help spring cleaning. *heart* cleaning. It might involve getting messy but its money and a great way to raise it. How would we go about getting it off the ground?
- There are several Senior Centers in the area. Could we call them to see if any of their members need help around the house? I would be completely willing to make the phone calls. -Donna
Nude Calendar- A friend of mine did this as a fundrasier and they actually made a lot of money. Does take start up capital (document center costs) but it could be fun.
Car Wash- This might be better closer to the trip (since its currently very cold out)but in high school it ALWAYS raised us a lot of money. Combine it with a bake sale?
Keg Party- Students Helping Honduras raised a lot of money on their cocktail party last year. What if we hosted a house party and all of the proceeds went to the trip?
50-50 Raffle
Basket Bingo
Silent Auction We could ask for donations from lots of different places. Maybe theatres in DC would donate tickets?
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - I think the Frisbee team does this but they do make a good turn out from it.
I really like most of the ideas up here. The gas station attendant thing looks really cool, and I'd be into that. Also, I think that the calendar thing is super cute, but where and to whom would we sell them? Lastly, I like the keg party thing, and our house would be great except for our fabulous parking business. This looks great, Donna, thank so much for doing it!! -Emma
