Video Camera Check-Out

The video camera is available for checking out as well as other useful tools to come.

The procedure for the check-out of the video camera is as follows: In Jon's office, room 315, in the second drawer of the filing cabinet is a binder with a sheet affixed to the front. Inside the binder are reservation sheets. If you know that you are going to be using the video camera on a certain day, reserve the camera for that time slot. On the day that you take the camera from my office, you must sign it out on the front of the binder. You can not have the camera for more than 24 hours and definitely can not have it checked out for during a time that someone else has reserved it for. For example, if Helen has reserved the camera for her class on Thursday morning, you can not have the camera in your possession during that time period. Use it for what you need to do, upload the video for editing and then put the camera back.

Please try to rewind the tape in the camera after you have uploaded the video so that the next user can start fresh from the beginning of the tape. We have several tapes, so if you take hours and hours of footage and want to wait until a later time to upload, just let me know and you can keep the tape until you are ready to upload your video. When you are done using the camera and return it, plug it in to the wall next to the fax machine and sign it back in on the front of the binder where you signed it out.

There is also a tripod for your use. Just note next to your checkout that you have also taken the tripod.

If you do not follow these instructions and the camera is not where it needs to be, you will lose the privilege to use it at all. I don't want to hear that it was not available for someone who reserved it.
