Here is my contribution to the search for shelter in the big apple. I would actually call these places to see if they can offer us anything for being such a big group that is part of a university research program. See if there are any specials that aren't available online.

The Marrakech Hotel [1]

• It would be great to stay here!
• Great Location
• Kazbar Lounge
• pretty sure they have internet.
• Snazzzy
  • Lowest Avg. Rate: $162.11 for us: $7,294.95= excellent if it is real.
    

They are also offereing winter specials for the time we are going to be there.

• Pretty alright. The location is fine, not fabulous.

Here is what I found. A lot of this is links, but I will try to explain some of the things here. I still need to contact some of these hotels, but here we go. Some of the availability and pricing was not able to be found without contacting them.

We are going to need to definitely talk to these hotels in person. I called a couple today and was told that a lot of hotels in New York are no longer allowing quad capacities in rooms.   • I am still not sure of the rates for this hotel, but I will call them to find out more and will update.

  • I worry this one might be out of our price range, but it is a very cool hotel.
